Cataract surgery can't be reversed since the cloudy natural lens of the eye is removed throughout a cataract procedure and can't be placed it back in.
But if there's a problem with the intraocular lens (IOL) used throughout your procedure or another category of cataract surgery complication develops, sure aspects of the surgery will be adjusted or redone.
This includes placement of the IOL or removing it and changing it with a unique lens.
For example, if a multifocal IOL is fixed to correct presbyopia and it does not give adequate close vision or it causes halos or new vision issues, it is removed and replaced with a dissimilar presbyopia-correcting IOL or a straight single vision IOL.
